CT Scan Tech / Pediatrics

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM
* No on-call requirements
* Daily caseload ratio of 1.5:1 per tech
* 1 year of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with experience
* Floating to other buildings within the facility may be required
* Guaranteed hours subject to facility calloff of 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Must have strong pediatric skills and be able to work independently each day
* Siemens experience is required; must be proficient with Siemens Drive (Somaris 7)
* Level 1 Pediatric Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience required
* Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures experience required, including Paracentesis and Thoracentesis
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
* Agency must supply radiation badge
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), SC license in hand at time of start
* Required skills include: Abdomen without and/or with contrast, Brain perfusion, Coronary CTA, Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma, Multiplanar reconstruction, Musculoskeletal trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, Vascular CTA, Starting Peripheral IVs, PICU, and preparation and/or administration of contrast media
* Orientation hours: 40
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission

Facility:

This is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds. The facility operates as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing a wide range of services including routine studies, outpatient care, and Interventional Radiology procedures. The facility is equipped with Siemens Drive (Somaris 7) technology and uses Epic for charting.
