Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* 3x12-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
* 1 weekend shift per month: Friday evening through Monday AM every 4-5 weeks
* Call requirements include 2 weekday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM and weekend call every 4-5 weeks starting Friday 7:00 PM through Monday AM at 6:30 AM
* Two call teams rotate every 12 hours from 1st to 2nd call; provider is not on primary call the entire weekend
* Holiday call may be required if it falls within scheduled rotation
* 2-hour callback minimum for Cath Lab
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Staffing ratio of 1:1
* Average daily census of 35-45 patients
* Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab diagnostic and intervention including structural procedures
* Travel experience in Cath Lab required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Must be willing to stay until all cases are completed and maintain flexible scheduling
* Candidate CANNOT be RCIS or RCES as WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in the Cath Lab
* Active WV license required to start assignment; pending license accepted for submission
* ARRT(BD) and ARRT(R) registration required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), ARRT(R)
* Charting system: Cerner EHR
* Special equipment includes: Siemens Artiz Z & Q, Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, CTO-Abbott, Shockwave
* Procedures include: LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, Shock Wave, IVUS, Penumbra, TAVR, Watchman, and structural valve procedures
* Patient population: Adult cardiology and structural cardiology
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available for travelers
* No floating to sister facilities required

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center, as well as a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). With 838 total staffed beds, the facility operates a very busy Cath Lab and offers a wide range of advanced cardiac and structural procedures.
