Opportunity:
LPN/LVN - Long Term Care
Job Details:
* Provide quality nursing care to all patients within a Long Term Care facility setting
* Serve as a viable member of the nursing staff, utilizing full scope of practice
* Provide care to all patients with respect for patient rights and dignity
* Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on assigned area
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week (note: guaranteed hours do not apply during the first week as orientation begins mid-week)
* Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as an LPN
* New graduates accepted; one year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
* Required certifications: Current CPR (BCLS) and BLS
* IV certification course required
* Must pass and maintain competencies for the position
* Proficiency with office machines including multi-line telephone, computer, and fax machine required
* Proficiency with medical equipment including Dynamap, thermometers, Datascope, and Pulse Oximetry required
* Strong communication skills required to effectively collaborate with physicians and other medical staff
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds
