Opportunity:

Infection Control/Prevention Program Manager

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
* Flexible start and stop times with arrival by 8:30 AM at the latest
* Occasional weekend review of construction activity required
* No holiday or on-call requirements
* Cover all patient care areas including inpatient, emergency department, surgery, procedural, and ambulatory areas
* Conduct device rounding, environment of care rounding, and participate in daily safety huddles at 8:30 AM
* Perform surveillance for healthcare associated infections, device-related infections, communicable diseases, and surgical site infections
* Assist in orienting new infection control staff as needed
* Work within Epic (Bugsy) EMR and EPIC charting system
* Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs; black scrubs or business casual attire for non-RNs
* BSN required in nursing, public health, epidemiology, medical technology, or other healthcare-related field
* CIC certification required; former leadership experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote

This is a Level 1 Trauma, acute care facility offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services across a wide range of clinical areas. The organization supports an active infection control program spanning all patient care areas and utilizes Epic as its primary electronic medical records system. The facility is in the process of growing its infection control team and values experienced professionals who can contribute to departmental development and staff orientation.
