Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
* 13-week assignment in a brand new NICU service line equipped with the newest and top of the line equipment
* Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
* Weekend schedule with every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratio of 3:1 in a 6-bed unit
* Unit staffed with a minimum of 2 NICU RNs per shift with 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, OB hospitalist, and anesthesiologist coverage
* Work with GE Bedside Monitors, GE Giraffe and Panda Warmers, Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, and Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication pumps
* Document using Meditech and CPN systems
* Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation procedures
* Provide family-centered care and developmental care to NICU patients
* Possibility to float to Newborn Nursery as needed
* 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Active RN license required - temporary licenses not accepted
* Preferred experience: care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation, central lines, stabilization/attending deliveries, and developmental care
* Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare scrubs required, purchased from Scrubs and Beyond
* No nail polish, artificial nails, gel, or next gen nails permitted
* Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
* No perfumes or lotions permitted
