Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics, including adolescents, pediatrics, and adults
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* 46-room emergency department with an average daily census of 135
* Unit systems include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Self-scheduling type
* Every other weekend shift required
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* No call requirements
* Holiday expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Floating may be required, possibly to a sister campus
* 36 orientation hours required
* Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
