Opportunity:
Ultrasound Technologist
Job Details:
* Work 5x8 rotating day shifts with varied hours, including potential weekends and holidays
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum three years of clinical experience in the respective department required
* Experience in breast imaging, diagnostics, biopsies, and whole breast ultrasound required
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a physician and department supervisor
* Specialize in two or more areas including cardiac, vascular, or general ultrasound
* Operate a variety of sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and reading and reporting systems
* Review images for identification, technique, and completeness according to governing body standards
* Perform invasive techniques such as use of contrast agents, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy exams, and thrombin injection exams per policy
* Provide care for patients ranging in age from infant through geriatric
* May be required to float to other departments up to competency level
* Required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
* May be responsible for mentoring ultrasound students from a CAAHEP program
* Active registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS or RVS) and/or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, or RDCS) required
* CPR certification and AHA BLS required upon hire
