Opportunity:
RN - MS-Tele Float
Job Details:
* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 6-9 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Rare on-call or standby requirement for low census situations
* Must float within Zone 3 (based around Denver City Center) which includes facilities within a 60-mile radius
* Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance and follow one of two formats:
- Option A: Scheduled at a single facility for the week with possible float within that facility
- Option B (Just-In-Time): Facility assigned 1-2 hours before shift start via call
* Float pool includes multiple units: General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
* May be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
* Heparin drip titration required
* Respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap used on unit
* Nurse aides available on unit
* Designated charge nurse on each unit who typically does not take a patient assignment
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology post-surgical, General Surgery, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, and General Medicine
* Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience required; prior neuro experience preferred
* 1-2 days of unit orientation with a preceptor provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Any color permitted
* BSN not required
* All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
* Traveler must not miss more than 3 shifts in a 13-week contract
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS

The facilities offer a wide range of specialty services including orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, oncological, and general medical care. The organization utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains dedicated charge nurses on each unit to support clinical staff and ensure quality patient care across all locations.
