Opportunity:

RN - Neuro/Surgical Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* No on-call required
* May be required to float to other MS/Tele units or ICU (low acuity)
* 3 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
* Must be willing to work Memorial Day
* Patient ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse across days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor
* Patient diagnoses include neuro and telemetry patients
* 1 year of MS/Tele experience required; travel experience preferred
* Epic experience within the last 12 months required and must be clearly documented
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Active TN or compact license required
* Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, neuro stepdown care, pre/post neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury care, CVA management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care and management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, chest tube management, PCA, procedural sedation, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, phlebotomy, and use of rapid response/code teams

Facility:

This facility operates a 31-bed Neuro/Surgical Telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a strong commitment to comprehensive patient care across neuro and telemetry specialties.
