Job Details:

* Every other weekend shift required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit accepts first-time travelers
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 43-bed emergency department
* 12 orientation hours required
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* Holiday work expected based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
* Patients include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Additional preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, drug overdose management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, managing violent behavior, neuro-trauma, non-trauma emergency department, starting and maintaining IVs
* Preferred skills include: Acute psychosis, continuous IV sedation, Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience, pediatric emergency department, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, psychiatric hold, suicidal patient management, triage, STEMI certified facility experience, stroke certified facility experience
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Unit does not accept travel pairs
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
