Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend rotation required with travelers working 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff
* May also be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation
* Level 1 trauma center experience required
* Must be well-rounded in case types including trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, and ex lap
* Experience scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases required
* Scrubbing not required for RNs but considered a bonus
* Travel experience preferred
* Weeknight call requirements: 3-4 per 4-week time period
* Weekend call requirements: 1 shift per 4-week time period
* Call response time: 45 minutes
* All travelers required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff
* Self-scheduling available within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
* Charge nurse present on all shifts
* No floating requirements
* Hospital-issued scrubs required
* EMR system: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS
* BSN not required
* Active RN license required

Facility:

This is an acute care facility operating a large surgical department with 23 operating suites averaging 75 cases per day. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering a wide range of surgical services including neuro, orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, and general surgery cases. The organization maintains a structured call system across multiple surgical centers and prioritizes high-quality perioperative care with experienced nursing staff on every shift.
