Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Weekend shifts required
* Self-scheduling with scheduling subject to manager discretion for block scheduling
* May be required to float to postpartum unit
* On-call potential depending on census
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* 40 orientation hours required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue (L&D scrubs provided by facility)
* Free parking available
* At least 1 year of L&D experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* Required skills include but are not limited to: Labor & Delivery, Cesarean Section, Neonatal Resuscitation, Sterile Vaginal Exams (hard stop requirement), Fetal Heart Monitoring, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Postpartum Hemorrhage management, Couplet Care, and use of infusion pumps
* Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 200 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive women's health and labor and delivery services. The facility maintains a small, focused L&D unit with 5 rooms and 5 beds, supported by a full interdisciplinary team. The unit utilizes Epic for charting and offers a collaborative care environment with access to a wide range of specialty support services.
