Opportunity:

RN - L&D

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment with rotating weekend shifts
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* No floating to other units
* Every other weekend scheduling requirement
* 1:1 patient ratio for pitocin patients, 2:1 patient ratio otherwise
* 4 LDR beds on unit
* No unit secretary or tech support available
* Documentation system: Meditech and CPN
* Perform labor and delivery, recovery, immediate newborn care, golden hour baby care, PACU, and C-section duties
* Must be able to circulate and scrub C-sections
* Provide patient-centered care including AIDET communication and bedside shift reporting
* Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience required
* Meditech experience preferred
* Ability to scrub C-sections preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN
* Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

This healthcare facility operates a Labor and Delivery unit equipped with LDR rooms and focused on providing high-quality maternal and newborn care. The unit supports a range of obstetric procedures including C-sections, recovery, and immediate newborn care, utilizing Meditech and CPN documentation systems. The facility maintains a patient-centered approach with established protocols for bedside shift reporting and patient experience standards.
