PCU RN - Flex Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* No on-call requirements
* Float required to MS/Tele units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick & 2 East) and Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Experience with cardiac drips (no vasopressors) required
* Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
* RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* Scrubs: Any scrub color permitted
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube management, cardiac drip management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Must adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a teaching hospital and Level I trauma center with 268 staffed beds. The facility's Progressive Care Unit cares for a wide variety of high-acuity patients including Level I traumas, post-bariatric surgery, general surgical, and medical patients with complex needs. Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
