Opportunity:
ICU RN - Will Float to MS TELE
Job Details:
* 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* ICU patient ratio 1:1-2; MS/Tele patient ratio 1:4-5
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* Traveler must be open to floating where most needed between MS/Tele and ICU units
* Looking for well-rounded travelers with ICU experience who also have PCU and/or MS/Tele work history
* Neuro and trauma experience required
* Must be able to care for all types of critically ill patients including adults and geriatrics
* Skills required: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury, and ventilator management
* Standard MS/Tele equipment used; Liko lifts available in almost all patient rooms
* Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Free parking available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required
Facility:
This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level IV trauma center with 87 total staffed beds. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The ICU unit consists of 13 beds across 11 rooms with a daily census of 6-8 critically ill patients, supported by a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
