RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule available
* Block schedule approved
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 with a 10-bed unit
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Experience with Epic charting system required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Previous charge experience a plus
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Patients include adult and geriatric age groups
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility is a full-service healthcare organization offering a comprehensive intensive care unit with 10 beds and an average daily census of 8 patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team and provides advanced critical care services to adult and geriatric patient populations. The facility maintains high standards for patient care with consistent staffing ratios and access to a wide range of specialty support services.
