Opportunity:

LTAC ICU - NIGHT

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Block scheduling type
* Weekend coverage required
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
* Staff will work both the 12-bed ICU unit and the 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Float requirement to Med-Surg at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Daily census of 35 patients
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/peg care
* Required skills include arterial line management, IV vasopressors, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, continuous IV sedation, central line care, chest tubes, blood product administration, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Must be willing to float to other units as needed based on census concerns, only to units where competencies have been demonstrated
