Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
* Holiday coverage required
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 9-room, 9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include IV start, triage, abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, emergency medications, interpretation of dysrhythmias, intubation, IV vasopressors, splint application, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, seizure management, traumatic brain injury, and triage
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, WV License
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED experience preferred
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy
* Scrub color: burgundy
* Must reside within a 75-mile radius

This emergency department operates a 9-bed, 9-room unit with a daily census of 40 patients, providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all age groups. The facility is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The department handles a wide range of cases from general emergency conditions to complex multi-system trauma situations.
