Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first time travelers accepted
* Weekend rotation schedule - details to be discussed during interview
* On-call required; typically one weekday/call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
* Floating within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients
* Scheduling is non-self-scheduled; no block schedules honored
* Travel pairs not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required skills include: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), MAZE Procedure, Mitral Valve Replacement, Thoracotomy, VATS, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Arteriovenous Fistula Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, and Lobe Resection
* Scrubbing experience required for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgery
* Holiday coverage is expected; if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* All RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or onsite
* No RTO permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
