Job Details:

* Level III NICU position with approximately 190 births per month
* Contract option for up to 26 weeks
* Must work 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Weekend schedule every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
* No on-call required
* Guaranteed hours subject to facility calloff of 1 shift per 2 weeks
* May float to Mother/Baby unit for babies; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
* Patient ratios up to 1:3, staffed by acuity
* 14-bed unit serving neonates and infants
* 36 orientation hours provided
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
* Level III NICU experience required hard stop
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced (will allow NRP if willing to obtain advanced before start), PALS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* RN scrub color: Navy Blue

* Patient diagnoses include prematurity, feeders and growers, RDS, NAS, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and jaundice
* Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, bubble CPAP, central line care and blood draws, high frequency ventilation, HFNC, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, neonatal dosage calculations, PICC line and midline management, surfactants, therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC management, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), titrating Dopamine and Dobutamine, and Fentanyl and Versed administration
* Special procedures include central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations; no surgeries performed at this facility
* Special equipment includes CPAP, BIPAP, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers, and high frequency ventilators/oscillators
* All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; approval based on facility needs
* Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
