Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule available
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* 1:3 or 1:4 patient staffing ratios
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac and vasoactive drip management without titration, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care and management
* Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Special equipment includes BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Floating may be required
* No on-call requirements
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests permitted
* 50-mile radius rule applies, no local candidates

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the ability to provide complex care to PCI and open-heart surgery patients. The 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
