Job Details:

* 3x12 hour night shifts
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Half weekends required per contract
* One pre-approved time off request allowed
* 2 years of nursing experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Charting in Epic required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Care of adult patient population
* 16-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Phlebotomy, and Transportation
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chest tubes, CVA management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Cardiac drip management, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Non-invasive airway management, Ortho trauma, PCA, Peripheral and PICC line management, Phlebotomy, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Spinal cord injury, Telemetry monitoring, Tracheostomy care/management, Traumatic Brain injury, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams

This healthcare facility offers a comprehensive stepdown/PCU unit with 16 beds dedicated to adult patient care. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team and provides a wide range of specialized services. The facility maintains strong staffing standards and offers a collaborative care environment with access to respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
