RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with no call or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If selecting 3x12 schedule, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Every other weekend coverage required unless scheduling needs change
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
* NICU Level II and III experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* No first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Unit system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Patient population: Neonates and infants 22 weeks gestation and greater
* Patient diagnoses include: abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include: Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, Surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes: Arctic Sun, Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and South Carolina license
* 40 orientation hours required

Facility:

This facility operates a large NICU with 41 beds and rooms, maintaining a daily census of 38 patients. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretaries, and more. The NICU handles a wide range of complex neonatal conditions and advanced procedures, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and a highly specialized care team dedicated to the needs of neonates and infants.
