Open Position: Lab Specialist - Lab Tech

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1867.60

Opportunity:

Histology Tech

Job Details:

* Work evening shifts from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday
* Minimum of 2 years of experience within specialty (Pathology Laboratory) required
* ASCP (HT/HLT) certification required
* Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences required
* Receive specimens from surgery and accession specimens into Cerner
* Collect blocks from PA staff and process tissue
* Perform embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
* Work within Pathology, Cytology, and IHC department
* Must work 2 major holidays out of the following 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
* Must work 1 minor holiday from the following: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
