Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Stepdown (E5 CARD)

Job Details:

* Work on a 40-bed cardiac stepdown unit located on the 5th floor of the Owen Heart Center
* Patient ratio of 1:4 with stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
* Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac cath/stent, and post pacer/ICD/ablation
* Operate equipment including Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipment, and bladder scanner
* Document using Cerner EMR
* Stepdown or progressive care experience required
* Telemetry experience required
* Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, and Lasix required
* Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred
* Relief charge experience preferred
* Perform bedside cardioversion procedures
* Float to all MedSurg units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed
* Every other weekend requirement
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Scrub color requirement: all white, all navy blue, or white top with navy blue pants
