Open Position: RN - PCU Stepdown

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with possibility to flex to days
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirement: 2 of the winter holidays
* Standby possible if extra staff is available
* Floating requirement within Region I facilities (additional $20/hour when floated outside primary facility)
* First to float position
* Patient ratios of 1:3-4 with nurse aide support at 1:10 ratio
* 24-bed unit with 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor available
* Common diagnoses include pneumonia, ARDS, HTN urgency, angina, cardiac cath patients, and ETOH withdrawal
* Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Dobutamine
* RT equipment experience required: CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
* Telemetry monitoring with remote monitor techs and RN approval
* Charting system: EPIC
* No scrub color or dress code requirement
* On-site free parking available
* PCU experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Hospital cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
