Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* May float to postpartum unit if census requires
* Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
* Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate/scrub for C-sections
* Work through PACU including general and regional anesthesia cases
* Perform sterile vaginal exams and support antepartum and intrapartum care
* May perform newborn role at delivery and postpartum couplet care (bonus skill)
* Must be able to work in an OR suite during C-sections using standard OR equipment
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Unit averages 200?300 deliveries per month
* Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Privacy is extremely important as the hospital serves a high-profile patient population
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color for L&D: provided by facility
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, FHM, and AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM in lieu of AWHONN
* Must provide 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years prior to start
