Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Float between units as needed to meet unit needs
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH scale and proficiency in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Work within a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Scrub color: any color
* No parking fee

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it maintains high standards for patient care and education. The facility features a designated stroke unit, a Spine Center of Excellence, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center, all holding JCAHO designations. Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.
