Opportunity:

RN - LDRP

Job Details:

* Care for laboring patients from 35 weeks gestation, provide postpartum and newborn care
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Every third weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Self-scheduling
* 36 orientation hours required
* Maximum of 7 days pre-approved time off per contract
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
* Minimum 3 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate
* Required skills include: antepartum care, assist with vaginal delivery, cesarean section, couplet care, labor and delivery, LDRP, mother/baby care, newborn assessment, postpartum hemorrhage management, breastfeeding and lactation support, IV placement and maintenance, use of infusion pumps and IV monitoring, baby friendly protocols, discharge teaching, episiotomy and incisional care, and newborn wellcare
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is part of a large health system offering comprehensive women's and newborn services within a community hospital setting. The LDRP unit consists of 7 beds and rooms with a daily census of 6, supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services.
