Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts with 6:45 AM start times, with occasional float to 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM starts
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs each week
* Must work 3 night shifts per assignment
* Weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirements
* 13-week contract length
* Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Must be able to circulate emergent craniotomy (hard stop)
* Required case types: General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics (hard stops)
* Patient population: Adults
* 1:1 patient ratio
* 41 OR unit with daily census of 90?110 patients and 38 rooms
* May float to other OR units within the same health system
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license
* Required skills include but are not limited to: craniotomy, trauma, laparoscopic procedures, spinal surgeries, GYN procedures, and a wide range of surgical case types
* Scrubbing experience in spine from a Level 1 Trauma Center is strongly preferred
* Experience in CT, thoracic, burn, orthopedic, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular is helpful but not required
* Maximum of 10 approved RTO days per 13-week contract
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted
* RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: June 28?July 9, 2026; September 2?September 12, 2026; October 25?November 4, 2026; November 22?December 2, 2026; December 20?January 3, 2027
Facility:
This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center operating a large, high-volume surgical environment with 41 operating rooms and a daily census of 90?110 patients. The facility performs a comprehensive range of surgical procedures and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, interpretation services, and patient transportation. The organization upholds high clinical standards and requires demonstrated experience across multiple surgical specialties.
