Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts with 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM start times
* Weekend coverage required with variable weekend shifts, likely once per month
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if requisite job specifications are met
* Must be able to both scrub and circulate
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Previous travel assignment required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* California RN license required
* BSN required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS
* Preferred certifications: CNOR
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Patient ratio: 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 40 orientation hours
* Performs procedures including Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS), Craniotomy, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Plastic Surgery, Dental Surgery, combined Neurosurgery/OHNS procedures, open and endoscopic surgical cases, and free flap reconstructive procedures
* Experience with liver transplant, kidney transplant, neuro, spine, and vascular procedures preferred
* Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical Robot preferred
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 28 operating rooms available
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Common patient diagnoses include appendicitis, cholestasis, hernia, obesity, ureteral obstruction, thyroid cancer, liver cancer, and kidney cancer
* Special procedures include laparoscopic cases, robotic cases, open belly cases, and cystoscopies

The facility operates a large 28-room surgical suite and supports highly specialized procedures including transplant surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, and reconstructive procedures.
