Burn ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* 15 weekend shifts per contract
* Float to like units within scope required as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications in hand: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Patients served: Adults and Geriatrics
* Unit details include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assist with intubation
* Patient diagnoses include burns, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post code, post-op Whipple, AMS, and hypovolemic shock
* Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Local candidates within 75-mile radius not accepted
Facility:
This facility operates a specialized Burn Intensive Care Unit with a capacity of 13 beds and a daily census of 13 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial staff. The facility provides a high-acuity environment focused on burn care and complex critical patient management.
